Mankwe Kalahari Lodge is our home and yours while you are with us. It is where you wake to the first sounds of the wild in the chill of the early dawn. We stand with you, sharing that first cup of coffee and talking quietly, while in the distance the horizon warms at the place where the sun will first touch.
About The
African Kalahari
The Kalahari is home to one of the most diverse populations of wildlife in Africa. Noteworthy characters abound — the barking gecko, meerkat, pangolin, honey badger and steenbok, while at the other end of the scale you'll encounter springbok, wildebeest, sable, roan and the majestic eland.
The smaller predators include the fox, caracal, jackal and brown hyenas, with the larger predators — cheetah, an occasional leopard, and finally lions — heading the list. These will certainly be part of your hunting day.
